In 2006, the predecessor to Brisbane Consulting Pty which initially developed internet assets and worked on new product development commenced trading. Soon enough our unique expertise was called upon to provide services such as internet strategy, search engine optimisation, technical and business development to other businesses.
By 2008, the demands for our consulting services had growth to exceed revenues from our website portfolio and the concept for the name change to Brisbane Consulting begun. Around this time we had also started to notice a distinct pattern in the types of clients we'd attract. New thriving businesses driven by the internet and the Google Economy started to face challenges associated with managing growth. These businesses lacked the traditional management skills and capabilities needed to streamline processes and create procedures to make the businesses growth more manageable. They needed to align their strategy and create structures, controls and culture to stabilise the business and manage the growth process.
The second type of clients we attracted were the complete opposite. They were traditional bricks and mortar businesses who lacked the capabilities or
expertise to lead innovation in web and IT strategy within their their own business. They'd often look to us to implementation of new internet or IT strategies on a cost effective capped fee project basis.
From here the business then decided to change direction and acquired brisbaneconsulting.com and brisbaneconsulting.com.au. In January 2009 the business launched its new brisbaneconsulting.com.au website and in February 2009 the business officially started trading as Brisbane Consulting Pty Ltd. In 2009 the firm has grown and added new core competencies to its offerings. Brisbane Consulting is glad to have been able to be a force for positive change in the midst of a challenging time for many businesses and industries. We look forward helping our clients prosper and at the same time creating a prosperous future for our firm and the local community we operate in.
